Healthcare professionals work in a community of trust, but that environment can make us easy targets. Cyber criminals have learned that the easiest way to hack our computers or access our confidential information is to influence people like you into taking actions that may not be in your best interest. This attack method is called social engineering, sometimes called the art of manipulation. It's when an attacker pretends to be someone or something you know or trust such as your bank, a healthcare clinic, or even a friend or co-worker.
